Tim Tamashiro’s Story

Tim Tamashiro is a multi-talented artist known for his work as an author, jazz vocalist, and radio personality.
Tim’s abundant life experiences began when he decided to “do what he loved” (follow his ikigai) when he was just 20 years old. His ikigai journey has taken him through a bouquet of careers and adventures that include major record label rep., recording artist, national radio host, TEDx Talk, author, speaker and buddhist monk.
In 2019 he released his Amazon bestselling book, How to Ikigai, in which he shares his insights and experiences on finding meaning and fulfillment in life. The book has been translated into six languages and was named one of the Top 5 books on ikigai by PositivePsychology.com.
Over the years, he’s provided presentations for some of the world’s most recognized companies, including Microsoft, Amazon and YPO. He has also created a number of digital courses, including “Do What You Love - An introduction to ikigai” on Skillshare.
He has released six albums and created several scripted music shows.
